Our Story

Birthed in 2012, the Speakers Institute, formerly known as the Institute for Professional Speakers, was founded by globally recognised professional speaker, Sam Cawthorn. Sam has been professionally speaking for over 10 years and began speaker training in 2011 which lead to see the launch of the institute at Google Headquarters in 2013. 

Sam began his speaking career in 2006 just before being involved in a 200km/hr, head on collision with a semi-trailer truck which saw him pronounced dead at the scene. Given another chance at life, Sam knew that he had a message that needed to be heard and ever since this, he has been speaking on stages around the world as he shares his message of Bounce Forward. He is today an author writing 7 books with his latest becoming an international best seller, he is also an internationally acclaimed Professional Speaker reaching CSP by the Association of Professional Speakers, is the 2009 Young Australian of the Year, the 2015 Eduprenuer of the Year and CEO and founder of the Speakers Institute.

Since the inception of the Speakers Institute, we have built a team of expert speaker trainers, partnered with exceptional organisations and developed a world class curriculum delivered through live events that transform and empower for rapid results.

  • Over 3,500 people register for our live events every month (over 30,000 per year)

  • Corporate clients such as; IBM, Canon, Westpac, Hewlit Packard, etc

  • Our online reach is over 1 million people every year

  • We run live events in 4 countries with staff/team in 5 countries. With a team in excess of 70 people and we draw upon 800+ volunteers every year.

  • We have a solid, aggressive growth strategy into other Asian countries within the next 18 months, European countries within the next 2-3 years.

  • Head office is in The Rocks, Sydney Australia.

  • We run monthly live events in 14 cities and 4 countries every month.
